Whipped Buttercream Vanilla Frosting

The yummy and different thing about this frosting is that you make whipped cream and fold it into a vanilla buttercream. It's delicious! P.S. If you're afraid of cream cheese- don't be. The cream cheese isn't overly powerful.

1 1/2 packages of cream cheese (12 oz total), softened (you may do less and just add the equivalent amount of butter)
2 cups powdered sugar
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup heavy cream, chilled

1. Beat cream cheese, 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla until blended and smooth (it's best to do this in a standing mixer).
2. In another bowl, beat cream and 1/4 cup powdered sugar in bowl until it holds medium-firm peaks (I do this will a hand mixer).
3. Fold whipped cream into buttercream very gently in 3 additions.
4. Chill until firm, but spreadable, about 1 hour (I often skip this step- all is well if you do).

p.s. You could use this frosting on this delicious chocolate cake
