Grandma Rhea's Maple Syrup

This is the best syrup- we've never made anything else. Although it's not as thick as the aunt jemima syrup- it is so much better and very easy to make- I even have the recipe memorized- it's that simple

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 teaspoon EACH maple and vanilla

Heat in small saucepan on low heat until sugar is melted.
